I have been doing a lot of drawing at night lately and having this show playing in the background conjures a great creative atmosphere.

Awesome Horse ~ Demos & Crits

I have to admit that I have a bit of a problem being self motivated. For some reason I have always worked better when there is someone working next to me as well. Having been self employed for the last six years I have battled my motivation demons constantly.

Recently I found a nice resource that helps me out in that department. Awesome Horse Studios is a group of artists and illustrators who get together to critique and give demos - {Mostly digitally created fantasy genre stuff}. Tune-in and its like having studio mates bantering in the background again! Cheers Awesome Horse!

Nimit Malavia

Ottawa artist and illustrator Nimit Malavia has some really nice work. Reminds me a bit of some of James Jean’s, stuff but definately with his own spin on it.

Poll - Time for a Revamp?

Octopus vs. Squirrel has been going for nearly five years now! And I think it is time to consider a revamp. Not only of the site design but perhaps of the way it is updated. Lately I have found my time to be in high demand and OVS has suffered, becoming stale. I would like to consider changing things up a bit. What do you think? Take a look at the poll below:
